Wimberley

 

Scott & Ami started Feller Roofing & Remodelling in March 2012. The pair had been in business before – technically this was their 3^rd roofing company since they both attended college in 1994. Ami knew about roofing at this point, but she had never done sales. In April of that year, Scott & his new bride Stacie left for Rome for a honeymoon, and Scott left Ami in charge of his phone. This made Ami very nervous, but since they’d just started, she wondered how bad it could be.

Ami received a call to go look a damaged roof in Wimberley, Texas, at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church. When she arrived, they showed her some missing shingles on a playground shelter house. She gave them an estimate for repair (like $300). Ami at this time wasn’t real sure what hail damage or hail hits looked like, but she told the kind lady Deborah that she thought the roof had some hail damage, and they should consider having their insurance company look at it.

The insurance came out and Ami’s first sale EVER ended up being about $250k. We ended up replacing several roofs on the church grounds. Ami was hooked on sales!!!

On Halloween of 2013, the school gymnasium flooded. Ami knew nothing about gymnasiums, but because the school and church staff trusted Ami, they asked her to please be the general contractor on the project – another large project. Ami really had a lot of fun on this project  and learned so much about so many things!

Over the years, we’ve really enjoyed working in the Wimberley community. As New Braunfels has blown up and really become a metropolitan area, Wimberley has managed to hold its charm and always seem like a step back in time. In 2024, we were honored to work on several homes that had been hit by a large hail storm – we especially seemed to be focused in Saddle Ridge.
