New Braunfels Roof- Pat Va

In the spring of 2024, Rhonda Pilkington, who is the goddess behind the Moms of New Braunfels Uncensored group Facebook reached out to Ami about a member who was in dire straights with her roof. Patricia (Pat) lived in New Braunfels, and her insurance had recently dropped her because of the condition of her roof. Worse than that, the roof was leaking severely, causing interior damages to the home. With her 4 year old daughter, mother, husband and sister all living in the home, the situation was beyond a crisis.

Ami and Patrick, our field operations manager, went out and assessed the damages. Ami was actually on crutches and in a cast after a skiing accident broke her leg, so she really needed Patrick to be her eyes and ears on the roof. We tried to do a temporary repair, but the roof was in such bad shape and we were in a rainy season.

Ami reached out to GAF to see if they might help her replace the roof. GAF agreed to pay for the roofing materials, and our supplier, ABC Supply Co, agreed to provide the non-GAF roof components at a steep discount. Roofer Chicks provided the labor and also a bunch of decking that we purchased from Home Depot – the entire roof deck had to be replaced!

Patricia ended up with a roof replacement that cost her nothing, except she made Ami and Patrick a delicious carrot cake with cream cheese frosting!

Helping people in our community is important to who we are at Roofer Chicks. We cannot give away free roofs all the time, but we also know that it is part of our responsibility as humans to offer a helping hand when we can. We are very proud of Patricia’s roof and we can all sleep at night, even when it rains, knowing her family is safe and dry.
